Canada has its own rate card. The percentages match the American ones, but the sales that earn each tier are counted in Canadian dollars and the tiers start much lower. Commission is 8% of the sale price (4% on Coins) for a seller with four-week sales of C$0 to C$9,999, and falls by tier to 4% to 6.5% (3.5% on Coins) at C$85,000 or more. Not the American rate card
Whatnot publishes a rate card for Canada with the same percentages as the United States and different sales bands. A Canadian seller reaches the second tier at C$10,000 to C$19,999 in four-week sales, and the top published tier at C$85,000 or more, where a US seller needs $500,000 or more. A calculator using the American bands understates what a growing Canadian seller keeps.
About the dollars
Whatnot publishes the Canadian sales bands in Canadian dollars. It publishes the flat transaction fee for the US, Canada and Australia as $0.30 and does not restate it per country, so this page shows it exactly as published rather than converting it.
Tax at checkout

Payment processing is 2.9% of the total order value plus a flat $0.30 per transaction. In the first example on this page ($25 single card, buyer pays $5 shipping), that is $2.00 commission and $1.17 processing, leaving you $21.83.
What are Whatnot’s commission tiers in Canada, and when do they reset?
Since 21 September 2026 your commission rate depends on your total sales, across all categories, over a four-week period. The first tier covers C$0 to C$9,999 and the top published tier starts at C$85,000 or more. Commission is 8% at the first tier and 4% to 6.5% at the top, depending on category, and Coins go from 4% to 3.5%. Does Whatnot charge Canadian sellers a different commission?
The percentages are the same as in the United States at every tier. What differs is how much you need to sell to reach each tier: the Canadian bands are in Canadian dollars and start lower, with the top published tier at C$85,000 or more against $500,000 or more in the US.
Is GST or HST charged on Whatnot’s fees in Canada?
Whatnot says it collects GST, HST, PST and QST on its commission and payment processing fees for sales to buyers outside Canada. It does not print a rate, which is why this calculator opens with none and lets you enter one. Your Whatnot payout statements show what you were actually billed.
Does the 0% commission offer on high-value orders apply in Canada?
Whatnot’s article on that offer says all sellers are eligible and gives the threshold in US dollars, Australian dollars, euros, pounds and yen. It names no Canadian dollar figure, so this calculator does not apply the offer to Canadian sales. If you sell high-value items, check the commission on an order receipt.
Does bundling a buyer’s wins into one shipment lower the fees?
No. Fees are charged per transaction, each time a buyer checks out, even when the purchases are later bundled into one shipment. Five wins pay five commissions, five percentages and five $0.30 fees. You save on the shipment and the postage, not on the fees.
