Whatnot publishes the Australian sales bands in Australian dollars. It publishes the flat transaction fee for the US, Canada and Australia as $0.30 and does not restate it per country, so this page shows it exactly as published rather than converting it.

Is GST charged on Whatnot’s fees in Australia?

Why does postage take so much of the sale?
Two reasons, and only one of them is a fee. Domestic Australian postage is expensive, so when you offer free shipping it leaves your take-home before any fee applies. On top of that, payment processing is charged on the whole order total, which includes buyer-paid postage, so you pay 2.9% on money that goes straight to the carrier. The calculator shows that slice on its own line.
Does bundling a buyer’s wins into one parcel lower the fees?
No. Fees are charged per transaction, each time a buyer checks out, even when the purchases are later bundled into one parcel. Five wins pay five commissions, five percentages and five $0.30 fees. You save on the parcel and the postage, not on the fees.
Are there listing fees or monthly fees?
No. Whatnot does not charge to create, store or manage listings, and there is no monthly seller subscription. You pay when an item sells.
