Know who is in the room and whether they are engaged

A viewer count tells you how many people are in the room. It does not tell you whether they are engaged, who among them actually buys, or whether the person you are talking to has bought from you eleven times before. This is the part of the extension that answers that, and the part that lets you act on the answer. Two Whatnot chat extensions have already been removed from the Chrome Web Store for automating chat, so we took the opposite position on purpose: every moderation action here requires you to click it. Nothing in this extension bans, blocks, or messages anyone on your behalf.

Acts on your show

Live chat panel

Your show chat, in the side panel, next to your sales numbers instead of in a separate window you have to keep switching to.

Top chatters, bidders, and buyers

Three live leaderboards, filterable to the last 15 minutes, 30 minutes, hour, or the whole show. The time filter is the point: it separates who is hot right now from who was hot two hours ago.

Live viewer count

How many people are watching, on the same bar as revenue and run rate, so you can read engagement and earnings together.

User search

Search the room for a specific viewer by name, instead of scrolling chat hoping to catch them again.

Per-viewer purchase history

Click a name and see their order count with you, their total spend, and whether they follow you. A first-time buyer and a hundredth-time buyer should not get the same greeting, and now they do not have to.

Direct messages

Message a viewer directly from chat without leaving the show to go find them.

Moderator presence

A live strip showing exactly who is moderating right now, separated into host, moderator, nominated moderator, and co-host. You always know whether the room is actually covered.

Chat display controls

Font size and message density controls, so chat is readable on the monitor you actually use while you are three feet back from it holding a card.

Block and unblock

Block a viewer, or lift a block, from the chat panel without leaving your show.

Ban and unban

Ban a viewer from the stream and reverse it just as directly when it was a misunderstanding.

Promote and demote moderators

Make someone a moderator mid-show when the room gets busy, and remove the role afterwards. Paired with the live moderator presence strip, you can see the effect of the change immediately.
