Hand the mic to the next host without ending the show
A shop with more than one seller has one bad choice to make on Whatnot: end the show and start another one so the next host gets credit, or keep the show running and lose track of who sold what. Both cost you something. This group removes the choice. One show runs all day, the mic moves between people, and the sales ledger follows the handover on its own. Planning who is on at what time happens in the web app, on the show’s roster, where each host can carry a start and end time and a repeating pattern. The switching happens here, live, in the panel.
Tap a name in the team strip and the mic is theirs. The broadcast does not stop, the show record does not close, and nothing restarts. Underneath it is one pointer moving and one handover written down, which is why it takes effect immediately and costs the show nothing. This is the whole reason a shop can run one show all day instead of one show per host.
Sales follow the handover
Every sale is stamped with whoever was live when it landed, at the moment it is recorded. Change hands at 8:40 and the 8:41 sale belongs to the new host, with no CSV surgery afterwards and no argument at payout.
Add a host mid-show
Someone walks on who was never on the roster. Add them from the strip and they can take the mic in the same breath. If the show was never set up in the first place, adding a host sets it up for you rather than sending you off to another screen.
Camera presence, separate from the mic
Several people can be on camera at once while exactly one of them is the lead. Put a co-host on or take them off without touching who is selling, because who is visible and who is being paid are two different questions.
A handover log
Each switch records who handed over, who took it, who made the change, when, and an optional reason. When a payout is questioned three weeks later, the timeline is a record rather than a memory.
Who can switch, and who cannot
Owners and admins can move the mic to anyone. A host who is not an admin can take their own slot and nobody else’s. The strip enforces it rather than trusting everyone to be careful during a busy night.
Everyone’s screen changes at once
The switch reaches every open tab and every teammate’s panel in real time. Nobody is looking at a stale roster wondering whose turn it is, and nobody has to refresh to find out.
Your team next to Whatnot’s
The strip shows Whatnot’s own view of the room, the host, the mods, the co-hosts, right beside your team roster. Two lists that used to disagree in two windows now sit in one.
Team chat in the panel
A conversation between whoever is managing and whoever is on the mic, in the same strip. Telling the host to slow down or push the next lot does not have to go out through the public chat.
Survives a reconnect
Handovers ride the same live connection as the rest of the panel, so a dropped tab comes back knowing who is on the mic instead of guessing from whatever it saw last.
