Can I run one Whatnot show with several hosts and switch host without ending the show?

Yes. The show keeps running while the person hosting changes, and LiveStreamPro records who is hosting at each moment. Tap the next host’s name in the team strip of the extension and every sale from then on is recorded under them. The broadcast does not stop, nothing restarts, and it stays one show in your records.

Why a handover needs a record

A shop that sells all day does not want one show per host. Ending a show to change hosts sends the room away and starts the next one cold. Keeping one show running with hosts taking turns avoids that, and raises a different question: when three people sold in the same show, which sales were whose?

If hosts are paid on what they sell, or you simply want to know who sells what, that split has to be recorded as the show runs. Working it out afterwards from memory and timestamps is where arguments come from.

How switching host works in LiveStreamPro

The LiveStreamPro extension shows a team strip beside your Whatnot show.

  • Tap a name to hand over. The switch takes effect at once. The show record stays open and nothing about the broadcast changes.
  • Sales follow the handover. Each sale is recorded under whoever was hosting when it landed. Change hands at 8:40 and the 8:41 sale belongs to the new host.
  • Add someone mid-show. A person who was not on the list can be added from the strip and take over straight away.
  • On camera is separate from hosting. Several people can be marked as on camera while one of them is the lead host the sales are recorded under.
  • Everyone sees it. The switch reaches every open tab and every teammate’s panel as it happens.

The switch is LiveStreamPro’s record of who is selling. Your Whatnot account, your show and your stream stay exactly as they are, and Whatnot’s own rules about who may appear on your account still apply.

Who is allowed to switch

Owners and admins can hand the show to anyone on the team. A host who is not an admin can take their own turn and nobody else’s. The strip enforces that, so a busy night does not depend on everyone being careful.

What you have after the show

Every handover is logged: who handed over, who took over, who made the change, when, and a reason if one was given. With each sale recorded under its host, the split of a long show by host is a record rather than a reconstruction, and the live console shows a sales scoreboard by host while the show is still running.

The host management page lists everything the team strip does. For the rest of the running order, see how to run a Whatnot show.

Run your next show without the paperwork

LiveStreamPro captures your sales, prints your labels, and shows what each show kept after fees while you stay on air.
