Pending balance
Money from sales that is credited to your account but not yet available to withdraw, because those orders have not finished settling.
A pending balance is money you have earned but cannot take out yet. The sale happened, the buyer paid, and the amount is showing against your account, but the platform is still holding it while the order completes. Sellers also call it a processing balance or unsettled funds, and the distinction that matters is simple: pending is promised, available is spendable.
Funds usually sit pending because something about the order is not finished. Shipping may not be confirmed, the delivery window may still be open, or a refund or dispute may be in play. Once the order closes out cleanly the amount moves into your available balance and joins the next payout.
The practical consequence is cashflow. If you buy inventory on the assumption that last night's sales are money in hand, you will come up short, because a real slice of it is still pending. Sellers who restock weekly plan against their available balance and treat pending as next week's money. How long funds stay pending is Whatnot policy, so read the current payout rules in Whatnot's help center rather than assuming a fixed number of days.
