A giveaway is an item you award free to a viewer during a show, with the winner picked from entrants in the room. Sellers run them to reward regulars, spike attendance, welcome new followers, and put energy back into a stream between selling runs.
Two practical notes. First, giveaways are marketing spend: the item is free for the winner, and the shipping typically comes out of your side, so budget them deliberately. Second, giveaways on Whatnot are governed by the platform's official giveaway rules, which cover who can enter and how winners are drawn; read the current rules in Whatnot's help center rather than relying on what another seller told you.
