Chase

The rare, high-value card or item that buyers are hoping to pull from a break or sealed product.

The chase is the card or item everyone is hoping comes out of the box: the rare rookie autograph, the low-numbered parallel, the grail piece for that product line. A product's chase cards drive spot prices and attendance, because the possibility of hitting one is the reason buyers show up to a break.

Sellers use the word constantly in show titles and pitches, and it works because it is honest shorthand for what is at stake. If your show features product with a well-known chase, name it: buyers search and browse for exactly that.
